Bhawani Engineering Works manufacture and supply a broad range of Electric / Electro-Hydraulic windlass and related components including chain-lock to meet all the requirements of offshore, marine and ship building industry. Windlass can be delivered in standard version or tailor made to the customers.
Winches from BEW can be designed to comply with cation rules and standards.
The standard any class design is based on extensive marine maintenance and operational experience.
As winches are equipped with hydraulic and electric motors, all necessary wiring system, power pack and control system are delivered as a complete package.
New Design with Helical and Planetary Gears :
Advantages of the helical and Planetary gears over spur gears.
- Silent operation: In a helical gear train, the teeth engage a little at a time rather than the entire face at once. This causes less noisy power transfer in case of helical gears.
- Non-parallel shaft: Helical gears can be used for transferring power between non parallel shafts. Though you have to compromise on efficiency in this case.
- Strength: For same tooth size (module) and equivalent width, helical gears can handle more load than spur gears because the helical gear tooth is effectively larger since it is diagonally positioned.
- Compact design: It requires less deck space for installation.
- Safety Margins: Safety margins are better in Helical & Planetary Gears.
